No-Limit Hold’em Poker- Who is Phil Ivey?
Phil Ivey has been branded as the number one poker contender on the globe by most of the top-ranked professionals. Phil was born in Riverside, CA and relocated to Jersey before reaching turning 1. His grandfather taught Phil penny-ante 5-Card Stud poker. From that point on, he was hooked on poker and wished to discover every little thing he could about poker. Phil routinely would tell his grandparents that he wanted to be a professional poker player. He didn’t let the adverse comments from other people annihilate his dream of being one of the greatest poker competitors on the planet.
He started playing intently after getting a false ID by the name of Jerome. He sharpened his techniques at the poker rooms in Atlantic City. The first few years for Phil were a learning opportunity and winning was not a regular outcome at the time. He made his mark at the 2000 World Series of Poker when he made 2 final tables and came away with his 1st World Series of Poker bracelet, in a two dollar, five hundred Pot-Limit Omaha event. At the closing table he defeated a number of the better known professionals including "Amarillo Slim" Preston, David "Devilfish" Ulliot, and Phil Hellmuth, Jr.
He decided to take his skills to the successive level and moved out west to Las Vegas. He continues to participate in in "The Big Game" at the Bellagio with the greatest players on the planet. Phil credits his success to dedication and an eternal love for the game of poker. Phil says that he is learning every single day and is very humble about his success. He knows he makes mistakes every single session of poker and always strives to get better.
Despite the fact that Phil has won some large tournaments, he likes destroying money games on a regular basis.
